Product Review: Seventh Generation Diapers & Wipes

I was definitely skeptical that diapers could be eco-friendly and work well. However, I have been proven wrong. We tried the Seventh Generation Training Pants ($11.99) and baby wipes ($4.69/tub) just to find out for ourselves.

The training pants may be a little shock when you first take them out of the bag because they are a light tan instead of the white you expect. They also lack the cute little characters the leading brand doses. But luckily that not all they lack, they also lack chlorine, fragrance and latex.. They are made of a hypo-allergenic, soft, cloth-like material designed for comfort. They also have the stretchy, tear away sides for an excellent fit and ease of changing. My favorite part is the inner leak barriers for superior leakage protection. No LEAKs here! Seventh Generation uses absorbent gel. They have performed exhaustive research that has shown that it is non-toxic and safe for children while helping keep them dry and comfortable.

Seventh Generation Baby Wipes are pre-moistened with natural aloe vera, vitamin E, and water. They cleanse and moisturize gently and naturally. Unlike many traditional baby wipes, they are not bleached with chlorine and do not contain alcohol or synthetic ingredients.

These unscented wipes are gentle to baby’s skin, while still being strong enough to get the job done. I imagined they would be much thinner and not work as well but I was pleasantly surprised. I would not have been able to tell them from traditional wipes when it came to strength. They were also great for removing makeup and the 500 other jobs wipes are called into use for. I plan to carry a pack of wipes even when my boys are teenagers.
