Mommy Bloggers Help Hunger with Cheerios

I am very excited to have participated in Bloggers In Caring and here's the best part: I, along with other local mommy bloggers are featured in a mosaic on the most recent box of Cheerios that are on sale exclusively in ShopRite stores! Yes, lowly little old me is on a Cheerios box, along with some incredible woman. I'm in the top row, middle :)

As a result of our efforts, 3,000 boxes of cereal will be donated to local food banks in ShopRite’s trading area!

Here's how. Their next project to help raise awareness and funds to aid in the fight against hunger has just launched. ShopRite Partners In Caring, together with General Mills, has launched a video contest, Expressions of Hunger. This contest challenges everyday people just like you to submit videos using song, poetry, dance or dramatic reading that creatively express the plight of the hungry or offer solutions to the issue of hunger. Up to six grand prize winners will have their stories and photos featured on a special-edition Cheerios box available exclusively at ShopRite stores in September 2010! The contest is open from January 1 through March 1, 2010.
