With tough economic times and paychecks just not going as far as they used to, Krogers wants to help do their part. Here are some ways you can save, just by visiting Kroger.com:

  • Coupons - Kroger.com provides customers with three great ways to access coupons for their next grocery shopping trip:
    1. Shortcuts –Site allows customers to download coupons directly to their Kroger Plus Card. During checkout, coupons are automatically redeemed when your Card is scanned.
    2. P&G eSaver – Download P&G coupons directly to your Kroger Plus Card.
    3. Printable Coupons –Print coupons directly from the Kroger.com site.
    4. Fuel Rewards - Redeem fuel discounts by shopping at Kroger-owned stores at participating gas stations.
    5. Kroger Pharmacy – Kroger Pharmacies offer a 30-day supply of more than 300 prescriptions for only $4, or 90-day supplies for only $10.
    6. 1-2-3 Rewards MasterCard –Sign up for a 1-2-3 Rewards MasterCard and earn free groceries when you shop.

    One of the things our family has started doing is buying meat in bulk and then making several meals over the next few days with that meat in smaller portions. Often we will cook it all up on sunday and then refridgerate it and use it through out the week. Time saver too!

    instead of buying canned beans for chili and soups, I buy dry and soak and freeze them when softened for easy use. I buy bulk meat- or at eleast discounted and freeze immediately. mrs.mommyyatgmaildotcom

    coupons are a good source to save. if you watch the ads, go shopping on the days where they have things on sale that you have coupons for. something, you might be able to get for a real bargain or even free, depending.

    My current favorite way to save at Krogers is to use my card at their gas station. I can fill up car with 10 cents off per gallon for every $100 I spend on groceries. I didn't know about the e-coupons, though. I will definitely have to try that one!

    I download my coupons from P&G to my card and I use paper coupons from my Sunday paper. I also was print coupons on the interenet but they were putting virus on my computer so I stopped that. I just got on shortcuts.com and entered there for more coupons. Thanks for the find!

    Fred Meyer (a Kroger company) is always one of the cheapest places to buy gas here, even at full price. I like the fact that they offer me a 3 cent discount just for having a card with them, and a 10 cent discount if I spend $$$ in the store that month. It's a huge savings for me.

    the fuel rewards program allowed me to finally buy gas for under two dollars last week. What a great program. buy $100 with your kroger's card and you get ten cents a gallon off. Then if you use your kroger credit card you can take fifteen cents off instead of ten. that's a great deal

    I add the Shortcuts coupons to my card as well as clip paper coupons in every Sunday paper. You can use both together for the same products!! I do the P&G ones, too and I definitely fill up the gas tank on the way out to get my 10c off per gallon.

    I definitely use the printable coupons. But when I was at the store the other day the cashier told me that some stores have stopped accepting them. She said people are copying them and using them over and over.

    I have been a Kroger Card Member for years and even have the Kroger Credit Card which saves even more on gas!! I highly recommend it, however I never knew you could load coupons onto your Kroger card! That is pure genius and can't wait to start doing it!!

    I love their Kroger Plus Card, they track what I buy on a regular basis and then send me coupons for those items! Plus the more you spend, the less you pay for gas through them.

    I also love that they let you use the online coupons and tag them to your Kroger card so you're not using paper. And when they double the coupons too - always great!

    To save money @ Kroger: You must always use your Kroger Plus card and also price match. Get all the ads from your local grocers and make them match the other stores prices. :)

    I'm a real coupon-clipper, but it takes so much time. I love the downloadable ones. But that's just the tip of the iceburg. I had no idea that I could get three months of my prescription for $10! I've been paying $40 a month! That alone will cut my costs $440 dollars a year.

    They always have manager specials, we get alot of those, and I usually clip coupons, but now (I haven't done it yet, but I will) you can go online, click coupons you want, they go onto your Kroger card and when you scan it at the checkout, the coupons come off your bill! I like that because there is no more clipping.

    The best thing is to use the shopper's card at Kroger. Not only do you get immediate savings, but they also frequently send out coupons that are targeted to items you frequently purchase. Also, you get fuel discounts. Many ways to save!

    My favorite way to save is one Kroger did not list but other comments have mentioned. Kroger will send targeted coupons quarterly based on items I've purchased that have been tracked using my Kroger card. Free water, cereal and store coupons on the brands that I use. Awesome!

    One of my favorite savings tip is to price match - I gather all the flyers circle the best prices on the items, and then buy everything at one store that price matches, much simpler doing one trip, instead of visiting every store. I spend less to, because if I entered each store to get the deal, I'd probably buy something else as well!

    I like using the online ads to see what is on sale before going to the store. For some reason our ads are almost always late so this helps me. I also use the grocery list that is with the online ad. Great idea!! This way I can organize the coupons to go with my neatly typed list..
