1. LLS was founded in 1949.
2. 68 local chapters in the United States and Canada
3. Through its popular Information Resource Center, LLS connects patients, families and caregivers to oncology nurses and social workers.
4. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) was born out of a family's grief following the death of their teenage son to leukemia.
