My boys love "reviewing" books and were excited to get their copy of Joy Is The Greatest Gift in the mail. The beautiful book and its inspirational story will delight young readers and teach them lifelong lessons. This hardcover book is very high quality, and the colors are so vibrant. I think the colorful waif-like character and pastel illustrations may have been lost on my two truck obsessed boys, however, the story itself was something my four year old enjoyed hearing and discussing. The book shares the message that "Joy is seeing beauty everywhere. Joy is enjoying days full of fun. Joy is spending time with the people you love." Also, we found that although it is designed for ages 2-9, I think the concepts were slightly over my 2 year olds head. I think ages 3-9 might be a better age group for it, unless you have a more mature two year old than I do.

Family Hug is my favorite.
With my oldest I feel we really have to struggle to remind him that life is about things other than gifts, sweets, and candy. What a lovely book to emphasize this! I think the family hug art is sweet, but we also love splashing in the puddles so days full of fun is in close 2nd place.

I love this book! What a great concept. Without a doubt family hug is my favorite framed print.
puddle of mud is def. my absolute fav. It reminds me of when i was a kid and my mom let me splash in the mud every once in a while and well now i am too old. I will def. remember to let my child have a little fun here and there and splash in the mud to enjoy childhood every once in a while!
