Wee Generation recently announced the birth of its baby, the Wee Generation eco-diaper bag. What began as an idea with Seventh Generation and Healthy Child Healthy World, quickly grew into a collaborative eco-friendly effort with the help of William McDonough, IDEO, and Rickshaw Bagworks, all leaders in innovative design. This is very evident in the obvious thought but into this stylish, functional bag.
When they were designing this bag, they went right to the source: moms. Since it is mothers who will be using it daily, and whose baby's mouth and hands will come into contact with the bag, it was only natural that they let them have a say in how it turned out. Direct feedback from mothers resulted in many of the bag's features, such as gender-neutral coloring, easy of cleaning, and lightly colored interior, so as not to be a black hole for smaller items. The bag is also in the process of Cradle-to-Cradle certification and is a true labor of love.
Features include:
- Designer upholstery fabric made out of 100% post consumer recycled plastic bottles (Cradle-To-Cradle Certified fabric by Designtex)
- Waterproof bottom
- Padded back panel
- Rear zipper compartment
- PVC-free waterproof liner
- Removable inserts include an insulated feeding tote, changing tote and changing pad
