National Geographic Kid’s hit series “Mama Mirabelle’s Home Movies,” starring the voice of Vanessa Williams, is celebrating Earth Day with a special themed episode and companion web activities. “Kings and Queens of the Savanna” airs the weekend of April 20, 2008 on PBS.
This special episode celebrates Earth Day and the circle of life. It shows the important balance in nature, and how every animal plays a role in maintaining this balance. When Mama overhears Bo, Karla and Max contemplating who the real king/queen of the Savanna are, she takes them on a nature walk. She shows themthat every animal, no matter how big or small, plays an important role in nature.
