___________________________

Here's another great electronic gift for moms [and dads if you are lucky enough to have a hubby that does the grocery shopping for you :)]. The SmartShopper™ Electronic Grocery List Organizer is perfect for you. In addition, one lucky Goodies for Mom reader will be getting a SmartShopper™ Electronic Grocery List Organizer (value=$79.99) in our giveaway.

Do you want to make the task of grocery shopping just a little easier? The SmartShopper™ Electronic Grocery List Organizer is an automated grocery organizer that allows you to add items to your shopping list by simply speaking into the device. You can edit and customize your SmartShopper using the easy-to-read LED display and SmartShopper will automatically sort your items alphabetically. When you’re ready to go shopping, just hit "print" and the SmartShopper prints your list, organized by categories.

I tried one out and it really is a cool idea. To be honest it is a little larger than I would have liked and I thought I would be able to stick it in my purse but unfortunately you cannot unless you are stuffing it in your diaper bag or large purse. However, it's great for sitting by the refrigerator and picking up to use as you check the cabinets or frig. Plus it's easy for hubby too use to in case he eats the last "ding dong."

I was a bit skeptical since I'm the one that throws the phone across the room when the automated phone systems cannot understand me and I cannot get past the first menu. I was ready for it not to understand me and throwing it across the room. Thankfully, this absolutely did not happen. You get three options to choose from based on what the device thinks you are trying to add and 9 out of 10 times the item I wanted was on the list. Even my 5 year old was able to add an item (note to self: put up this up on the shelf so I do not get to the store with a list of cookies, candy and fruit snacks!! Ok, at least not ones I do not add personally. LOL!). Just hit print and you are ready to go and it does make shopping so much easier because everything is categorized so you do not get to the end of your list and realize you forgot something in aisle 2. You can also move the categories around to align with the way your grocery store is set up.

ENTER TO WIN
To enter to win this item, visit the SmartShopper™ Electronic Grocery List Organizer website. Then leave us a comment with your favorite feature or what item would be on your list every week without fail (ours is milk and bananas). The fact that this little gadget uses a thermal printer will save you a lot of money in the long run even though you still have to buy special paper rolls for it. Great contest! Thanks.

There are several features that really put me in awe of this little wonder, like the voice recogntion. But the best feature has to be the built-in printer. Just imagine being able to go shopping without ever forgetting anything again. What a time saver this would be.

Weekly items on my shopping list...
Apples, 2 dozen
Bread, fresh wheat or wheat berry
Cheese, 2-3lbs cheddar or colby
Creamer, flavored for my coffee

My favorite feature is that it organizes everything by category. I am all over the place with my lists and I hate when I realize I have to go all the way back if I listed something from a section I'd already gone to.
